Cole was one of our best players tonight imo. He fought for EVERY ball, he got around defenders, his passing was always complete.. Gerrard on the other hand was diabolical. I mean, ******* awful. Hoofed it, often got stuck for options when the easy ball was available, he was closed down easily, he was generally abysmal.
I'm in utter shock that we're out, and truly angry. Hopefully this will wake those lazy ***** up and realise they can't walk on water because they're 'England'.

He was isolated through lack of pace quite often.
I think the one & only thing we can all agree on is this might be the best thing that could have happend for the long term interest with any luck. Gotta say though look at Mclowns opposite number, the guy motivated his team, jumping around on touchline shouting orders demanding more and more, used subs well and got the best from a team who booked their seat last week. Ours just sat on his **** during this game and the rest, just like the previous hotseat clown.

If gerrard can't play with the other players get him the hell out of the team and play someone who can. I'd rather they picked a League one player that does fit in to the side than keep on making excuses for the big names.
You are 100% right. But that's the worst thingg about having Crouch playing. Every one then loses the ability to play the short ball. When Crouch is on the field every thing goes long and it's shocking. That's why Rafa uses him as an impact player.

I think it's all come too soon for Lescott and Richards, Lescott only moved to a Prem club this season yet is playing crucial, high pressured internationals. We should have much experienced players at the back, James/Robinson, Luke Young/Wes Brown etc
