I've just completed the main campaign for this game and have to give it the thumbs up! Despite all the high profile titles recently released this deserves a look in. This has a nice variety of adventure, fighting and RPG-lite. The gameplay feels pretty darn polished, the way you move around the game world. Would have been nice if it was a bit longer but hopefully Ubisoft will continue the story of the Naruto anime with a sequel. I've clocked about 16 hours so far, there's a few more hours worth of side quests and still the online play to do. Ubisoft Montreal impressed me with this, next up Assassin's Creed!

Also I've just read that Japanese voices are downloadable for it now from the marketplace:

Ubisoft Montreal are turning into a real quality act. I too enjoy the story mode of it, but the fighting sections are very basic.

Just bought this game from a fellow OCUK member. Hopfully its here by tomorow. Can't wait for the Jap voices to come out. As the english ones will no doubt be ****.
Supposedly its missed quite a bit of story out, so time will tell...

The story needs a lot of work in the sequel because it can get to the point of not making any sense at all, if you have seen the Anime its even worse because you know all the extra detail. They need to have more in game cut scenes that link to the very short Anime clips imo, this way you could get a better sense of the overall story. Would also be nice if side quests referenced the main story line some what.

Yeah I know, but I heard that they missed out quite a bit of content.
Saying that, I havent watched 1-80 in like 3+ years so maybe it will refresh my memory.

if you watch the series you will notice a lot of the backstory missing, but it does cover the "main" plotline (although towards the middle it gets very disjointed as they force clips from the real series into it)
But that said thank god they didnt add the filler episodes ><

I did really like the 2d in 3d enviroments aspect of it, i thought it looked amazing (bar the poor quality vids from the real series)

Have you seen the Naruto episodes up to press (japanese versions)?
My god the filler episodes they used then made me thinking of quiting watching the anime. How long were they on for, like a year was it? I was bored out of my tree the watching the majorety of the episodes. Bleach' filler episodes on the otherhand were awsome if you watch that?
I am quite looking forward to the game as its kind of rpg style? I have been wanting a game like that for quite sometime. I will be looking forward to online play, and hopfully they will allow you to download characters like Itachi etc.

i actually stopped watching when the build up to the "save gara" saga reached episode 3 with little/no action then watched them all at the same go skipping the pointless crap

Bleach has been pretty bad of late, it finally has got onto the storyline again
I have a feeling bleach will end up the same as dragon ball z in terms of boosting their powers every time they need a new challenge
**SPOILER**

I mean seriously, original the cero was like the ultimate ability, bankai was fair enough as it was part of the Zanpaktou but he now has his mask ability, gentsu tensou etc.. makes you think though, how powerful Aizen is if he is higher than the highest arankar (bearing in mind Grimjaw as only 5 and he is able to crap out of the shinigami they sent)

The majorety of the episodes were pretty crud, even shipuden (sp) is taking for ever. I guess they dont want to catch up with the manga like they did last time.
With bleach I have enjoyed it so far, i even found the episode that came out yesterday not too bad, but I agree with you in the aspect of it becoming DBZ style with all the power ups.
Do you play the online version of this game, if so, how is it? Good?Crap?

Is anybody else's game constantly jumping? mines jumping 24.7.

For example. On the boat going toward the village to fight zabuza. Takes me about 10 minutes to get through that as its constantly jumping and crashing. And its always dropping in FPS throughout the game too. Crappy coding or naff game?

I bought it off a guy on here so hopfully he will supply me with a recipt. Will the shop accept a return say if I took it up to a shop up here? Insted of where he bought it from?

Best thing to do with fillers is to miss them out completely, I stopped watching Naruto after 135 (the 85 after that were fillers) until Shippuuden started. Same with Bleach I missed out all after 64 until 110 when it got back onto the real story.

If you dont watch them you dont get sick of them ;)

Thats how they all work in the 'Super Power'/Shounen* Genre, they have very little in the character development department so they need something else to push the story forwards. Also you should notice that they are moving away from such long series' these days in favour of smaller 13-26 episode series since there is less of a financial risk involved when the longer series begins to flop.

(*Shounen - Aimed at young boys usually aged between 5-13)

You really missed out bleach's fillers? Damn you mist out some good storyline then. They were really good for fillers.

Currently on eppisode 35 of shippuuden, 36 is out this week.

So would I be able to take the recipt to a store up here, even though it was bought from somewhere down south? Blooming typical though:mad::mad:
