The moment that new GTS comes out im buying every game udner the sun worth playing. IVe not bought one since june as my pc ios now dieing and out of the games i bougth i dont play any of them now. Infact i dont play any games any more. Bored of playing bf2 and css to death and nothing new out which will run on my pc well that is worth playing.

Get Call of Duty1 bought and installed (should only be about £5 tops). Good for accuracy practise as you have to be really sharp compared to other titles with erratic hitboxes. It's fast, fun and still playing online today. I used to be in a fun/no competition style community but not played in 4 months but it's still running pretty strong (might go back myself). Played the first time in 4 months yesterday and I scored this .

Old but still adrenalin pumping fun .

@ Peahead, What card/s did you have before the 2 GT's?.

@ gbdtil1, what about selling up the motherboard and getting a new one?. Is this viable with access to some other sort of entertainment for a few days?. It could mean a lot less spending on your part if the GTX starts giving out the performances you require.

I dont really like the cod series have 2 and 3. Dont really like them. As for target practice got bored of that. Playing rb6 and scoring 17-3 usualy on all v all with the occashional 17-4 gets boring after a while lol. As does css. Not sure what i want. Was thinking perhaps world in conflict something away from clicking on peoples heads. Though i wont say no to crysis

Crysis isn't too great IMO. I've tried it with a GTX on my system and my m8's GTX SLI'd system. Nothing exceptional until I can see it running smoothly on very high at a half decent res of 1680x1050 and above. Shame to say but on Crysis the head clicking continues .

I hear you about CoD, it isn't for everyone but was just a quick change and I also don't even know what system you are running now as your sig is your next PC???. When you said your PC was dying I assumed you were running a not so great gfx card. That's why I said CoD lol. World in Conflict is a good game. I've completed it on normal and now doing it in hard. Looks amazing, you just can't get enough of those explosions .

Current pc is a 3500, 1gb ddr and 6800GT its lasted 3 years and has kept up. Every game i have i dont sit and think why does it look so bad most games i run on medium but dont know what they look like on high so dont care lol.

As about crysis. Well i hope sli will be sorted out in 1 or 2 patchs and it will all be good. I hope taht 2x new GTS should run very high settings but not sure about aa. I still worry about the 256bit interface but i must buy before christmas and there isn't anything else with a bigger interface worth buying unless GTS and GTX are same price (which coudl happen) in which case i may go gtx not sure.

What other games could i get? world in conflict, company of heros, crysis, bioshock possibly as its not just like another bf2 or css, ummm i think UT3 is going to be one of those games wehre you either paly it constantly and remain at the top of the game or dont play it at all. I found with css if i played every few days or even dayly at some point it was easy. Stoped playing for 6 months went back and i found it hard compared to how i used to play. I got banned from tesside server when i was rank 2 with the ak i had a bet id reach rank 1 as well lol. People always turn roudn and say that server has no rankinsg but it does, its just on a website instead. Cant remember it now. Not really looking for fps any moer that require constant playing so i think ill give ut3 a miss.

What is crysis multiplayer like? The idea of the object one sounds great but i think it will be full of stupid people not working as a team. Just like bf2, which drives me insain. if you get a decent clan on there a 6 man squad can win the game quite easly.

After benchmarking in Crysis on high settings at 1280x1024 Windows XP Pro there was about a 5FPS increase with AA x0 and of about 8FPS at AA x8.

Sadly, I don't have a monitor to test higher resolutions where SLI is really supposed to be of benefit. If there is a future patch release for Crysis to optimise SLI, I'll certainly be interested to see the difference it makes.

I use the SLI indicator in my games (does it really need to be that big?) and that states the game is using SLI effectively, but I don't know how reliable it is?

SLI'd GTS's should be good. Can't wait to see something like that up and running. You will be blown away whatever you end up getting btw.

As for medium settings. It doesn't matter how it looks as long as you're immersed and having fun. Otherwise it's just too hard to have fun whilst being disappointed at the same time.

Company of Heroes and World in Conflict. Go for those two. Takes you away from the FPS side of things for now. Unlucky on the CSS rankings. It does require you to play but then again I just had a better than 5 kill to death ratio after not playing 4 months. You should always pop in for the odd game as you realise that it's fun too.

Crysis multiplayer?. Not tried it yet .

You will enjoy them both as they are great to look at whilst challenging. World in Conflict is pretty easy on "normal" and not so much harder in hard although I'm only on my 3rd mission. Company of Heroes gets quite difficult the further you get in though. I never completed that and uninstalled it after jamming my hard drives full of rubbish.

As for me getting the more than 5 ratio. That was for Call of Duty lol. I was just pointing out that even with 1/3 of the year gone that I still had fun and kicked ass without needing to play all the time.

I'd be up for a good few games with you m8. Hopefully I will have my new system soon too.
