HD 3870 Stock?

I was wondering if anyone can help with the 3870 stock situation, I have sent many web notes and they haven't told me anything,

I'm not sure if they just don't know when there coming in or haven't received any information. But I've been trying all week, anyone else have any luck?

I's there a massive demand because I didn't think there would be a repeat of the GT.

I was hoping Gibbo would reply to this thread as there repeating themselves on web note and phone. I guess the main focus is on the GT at the moment which is understandable.

I think their all really busy at the moment.

With a webnote, you're hoping that someone will have the time to reply. With a telephone call you have the chance to cut the wait. Also Hagg, it's a shop and if being a popular/successful one at that is desired then they have to take the pain (phonecalls/webnotes) with the pleasure (money/happy customers).

I phoned them up at lunch time as I have a HIS 3870 on preorder since last week.

They said they expected them in at the end of the week, but when i asked him to actually find out when they would be in, he came back and said the start of next week.

Thats not just the HIS ones, that is all brands.

They told me they don't have a confirmed date for HIS and Sapphire cards, but that's good to know, I hope it's true.

Hmm, I see your point. A bit of information about your new card is needed and two different bits of information is a little off putting for your peace of mind.

I agree. They will blatantly be back in stock by the end of next week at the latest.

The biggest joke was the fact that when i ordered mine it said there were 10+ in stock

Plenty of threads going into more detail, but the rundown is, most games are fantastic, only Crysis giving grief. 3DMark06 gives a score of just under 18,000 with system in sig (except CPU at 4GHz).

Sorry to stray off topic slightly but how are you cooling that quad at 4Ghz? I'm growing weary of my Vapo and fancy a change - but I'm not going to change my system without upgrading components at the same time (because I'm lazy and want to do everything in one go)

Ah, same boat as me then. I was kinda hoping you'd say you were on water already - I wasn't sure if quads had got to the stage where ~4Ghz was achievable (and stable) on water or not.
