watch this space, there will be action before crimbo, all of the fuel lobbists websites have gone silent and there are rumours spreading about rolling blockades set up by the road haullage association
wont happen.
Epic failed last time, although stopping xmas hauling would do a lot of damage all round.

yes epic fail last time, although the problem was they tried to blockade the depo's again and since his tonyness made it illegal to disrupt the supply of fuel i.e blockade the refinerys, the protesters never had a chance....
This time they are talking about grinding the road network to a halt just before christmas by placing rolling blockades on the motorway network... i.e having lots of lorries crusing at 40mph Wich isnt illegal but will create havoc on the nations roads and should hopefully make a good enough statement esp on all the urgent crimbo deliverys.
I am quite happy to go without this crimbo if it helps there cause, because as an everyday motorist im narked at paying 1.10pr ltr for fuel!
Very true. Our government can walk all over us and we won't bat an eyelid.
The price of petrol is about the same in France. They are too busy striking over Sarkozy trying to give them an economic future.

Thats because the general public doesnt really care that much tbh. most people dont use a lot of petrol anyway so this price rise doesnt really effect them, i mean you would save the equivalent kind of money by changing your weekly shopping habits (buy things on BOGOF and cheaper alternatives).

All it would take is for the supermarkets to stop their lorries delivering for 2 days in protest.
Supermarkets empty fast, 2 days with no deliveries and the nation would go crazy.

People don't use a lot of petrol? Are you nuts, its not just the normal driver at the pump its hurts.
Its people like your self, that i hate. They keep thinking they only do about 200 miles a month so they don't care.
Don't forget as oil goes up
Electric goes up
Farming costs
Food costs
Postage costs
The list is endless.

THATS ABSOLUTLY THE POINT, anything in shops that has to travel by road sea or air ( almost all of it ) will have been affected by the increse in both fuel duty and cost.... think about it.... i work for a large company that makes computer accessories and we have seen a rise in prices due to the cost of freight. every time there is a fuel cost hike either by tax or raw materials we have to up our prices so essentually every time the freight goes up you pay more.....

i was in calis on sunday, it was 112c pr ltr so roughly 76P per ltr....

Still pretty cheap to what we are paying? Isn't it also cheaper the further away from Calais you go?
Prices will always rise - there's nowt we can do about it. I paid £1.06 a litre other day - BP always more expensive but all we seem to have around here.
What gets me most though is when people who drive around in big gas guzzlers complain about the cost of fuel. Surely spending a lot on fuel forms part of running an uneconomical car.
