GeIL 2GB PC6400 DDR2

Hi mate

I have 4Gb of this stuff.

2Gb of the early stuff that does a good 950Mhz @ 5-5-5-15 2.2v, and i have 2gb of recent stuff purchaded a few weeks back and it wont go above 900Mhz.

In my present board i run all 4 sticks @ 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 :)
 
I have 4gb of that stuff too. As soon as I got it I knocked it up to 900mhz 4-4-4-12 stablily.

Earlier this afternoon I cranked it up to 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 and left memtest going whilst I was at work for 7 hours and got 0 errors, but I want to run some stress tests first before I say it's completely stable, but it's looking good!

I have that it runs at 860mhz 4-4-4-12, or 900mhz 5-5-5-12 - but my mobo will only let me give it 2.05v instead of 2.2v. I'd bet it'd be much better (as it appears above) with a decent voltage. Good price too.
 
Sounds good, I've got to RMA my crucial ballistic, I had 3gb of it sat at 850Mhz 4-4-4-12 and it seemed stable, in games I got the odd crash but I put that down to the GPU clocks, anyway the PC last night was starting to constantly reset at the normal 850Mhz 4-4-4-12 clocks I had it at and later would not boot at all, found out 1gb stick had gone for some reason, so I'm guessing I need some 800Mhz ram instead, all I really want is 850Mhz 4-4-4-12 but this ballistix 667mhz just dont seem to do it so I put it down to mobo compatability issues and that I must have got some from a bad batch.

Is that black dragon stuff actually any good? looks abit off putting as its got no heatspreader, and were are the lights on it?

I think I'll just get the GeIL, seems the cheapest.

Apparently there is some duff batches around tho so I dunno.

Just ordered 2gig of it from OcUK 44 quid with citylink next day :), should get it tomorrow.

Doubt my 1gb (2x 512mb) of Ballistix will work with it thought so gonna have to sell it and get another 2 gig of GeIL later on :D.

Changed over from Corsair 1gb XMS2 5400 (4-4-4-12) DDR2 (which I am selling on ebay, check link at bottom of this post if your're interested) and all I can say is HUGE HUGE difference! The Black Gragon Ram is fantastic, apparently overclocks like a beast and is very stable with life time warranty to boot. You can't go wrong, and what's more...ITS CHEAP!

I decided to go for the other GeIL ram on this week only :):

Any reviews on this ram? would be nice to see a review of it.
 
Hi again, I've just got home to find me ram in my bedroom, anyway I'm just wondering they are 2.1V for sure then?

if I could get em up to 2.2V for 850Mhz 4-4-4-12 would that be fine reason been is I might be able to use my Ballistix 1GB kit with it as it will run 850 4-4-4-12 @ 2.2V.

That ok thing to do?
 
I have 2gb of the Geil there, runs at 944MHz, 5-5-5-15, no problem at all however I can't take it any higher, well at least not above 950MHz. I guess I got a good batch. Good luck with your set.
