Exchem Explosive Factory, Alfreton, Derbyshire

Where I used to live in Alfreton there is a chemical explosives factory (see Google Map link). They have test bunkers and you could often hear bangs and booms. A footpath goes nearby (ish) and it was fun to walk down there on test days.

25 burried bunker liek things evenly spaced, with one road lieading to it with some kind of house ont eh corner?

no 'roman orads' in sight either, and cant be a tourist attraction as theres no parking,


Doesnt seem to have a deffinite boarder, or security - so it may not be military.

Im still stumped, but i really dont think its a roman fort.

Fincle abbey is just a hop skin and jump away though
