Hi guys,

Just today i installed boinc and thought it was quite cool, then i saw that everyone is doing F@H here so i thought i would join that.

Well i have it running but it is only using 25% of my cpu (see screenie). Is this normal?

Also is there a way to get it working through bonic as it has a lot more configuration options?

Cheers

You are running a single-core application on a quad-core CPU. If you check your task manager one of your cores should be at full. [100% of a quarter is 25%].

You may want to run the SMP client as it will give you much higher output. See my guide here for the Windows SMP client: http://smp.aeternum.co.uk/guide/8

I think there is a Folding@Home boinc module or whatever. It is only the standard client as far as I am aware. So basically absolutely no change from what you have now.

There is/was a beta client running under boinc, not sure if it still is but as SB says it's only the basic one which makes the work dull as dishwater :o

What exactly are you wanting to configure that you can't with the main F@H clients? Or is it more the ease of configuring that a GUI gives?
