he must have got man of the match for being the newcastle player to actually shoot a few times. seems one thing was missing from newcastle, that was a right wing? up till the goal in what 30 mins in smith basically never was on the right. the whole liverpool left flank in their half was empty of newcastle players completely, for 30 mins the ran up the left side of the pitch with 3-4 players against geremi, it was unbelievable that fat sam couldn't work that out at all.
is it possible its not fat sam's fault though? it occured to me they always show, is it ashley, the owner/director or whatever, with a smith shirt on. maybe he simply bought Smith and is forcing him to play him. you've got to think he could do less damage to the team as a striker though and might get a couple goals eventually, than play him on the right giving the team no right wing at all and leaving their right back completely exposed. whoever was left back aswell, he was constantly hitting the ball without looking up, few crosses went miles from a newcastle player, he just gave up couldn't be bothered and booted it by the looks of it. either way, thats my 36p accumulator for the weekend down the drain on the first game

had a £52k return , hehe, its more fun when i lose my accumulator with at least a few games gone.
really wish we(arsenal) had bought babel, he looked immensely powerful on the wing. bounced a couple players off him on a 30 yard run and almost scored, he looked as good in that game as he's supposed to be.
