Does anyone else use Quidco here?. Did you know you can get anywhere from £20-£100 cash back through these guys on your insurance policies? (and on loads of other stuff, I use it for everything I buy over the web and have saved hundreds over the past year!), I just set up a Car policy with Pru, the total premium was £871, by going through Quidco I will receive a further £95 from that straight to my bank which means my Fully Comp policy on my 1.6 Focus Zetec would cost just £776, Score!. Just waiting for it to track now which takes a few days (payment is then made to your bank or Paypal, your choice) :), I highly recommend you guys look into it there is a lot of $ to be saved!

Type in "car insurance" to see what you could possibly save

www.quidco.com

There are no catches at all besides your first cash back payment £5 will be deducted off to cover the service.

That's pretty cool. I use Quidco quite a bit, usually end up getting a few hundred back every month so this will be another nice saving, cheers :)

My housemate uses them frequently and he's very happy with them

One thing he says though is that it can take some time for the money to come through

I use it as much as possible Ive got around £100 just waiting for it all to clear should be a nice little christmas present :D

I did the same with my insurance renewal, but they were offering £130 cashback at the time, which was quite good :D

I use it for everything, as any saving over asking price is a bonus! Dont care about the time it takes to get the money back, just sometimes things dont get tracked too easily.

Did my car and house insurance on it this year, my mum did hers on it too.
Through the above and a few other bits, I've got back £420 this year.
Not had any problems so far in over a year of use (touch wood!)

It's nice when you forget about it (as it can take several months) and find an extra £100in your bank account!

Definately recommended.

I tried doing it this year however doesnt always wok out cheaper ie;

Renewal (admiral) £880
Online Quote (admiral) £800
On Phone (again admiral) got done to £610

I tried to use it and it didn't work? maybe I was doing it wrong :/

Bah

I registered with them last week. But haven't used it yet. waiting till payday and shall see If any of my Christmas shopping can be done.

You can even get cash back on ebay fees. Not the sale price, but a % of the fees. Not a lot, but better than nothing.

Doh, didn't know that.

I've just been stung for £60 fees this month. I need to get into the habit of checking Quidco before I buy stuff

Might be the case with admiral but with Direct Line, Pru and Churchill there internet rates are the same as phone rates :)

Pru worked out cheapest for me all round anyway :)

seems too good to be true, what's the con?

No con, as I said all they ask is a payment of £5 per year which is deducted from your cashback savings, so you don't need £5 to open an account it's simply deducted on your first saving. Quidco has been round for a year or so now, I've made £150 this year with it. :) make that £245 once this insurance cashback goes through. :)
