I love the comment of 'stupid comments' earlier in the post, then Liverpool fans come out with this pearl. .

Its one fan.

To be fair, united havent produced a decent player from within for a while, pretty much all of your current top players are bought in.SAF was very very fortunate when he had that superb bunch of players come through at the same time, that is just unheard of in modern football, fair play to him for that.

Fergie never whinges,ever.

Really? When was the last time Ferguson went complaining about Benitez or Liverpool? Wenger of Arsenal (I think you'll find Ferguson has been praising him), or Mourinho and Chelsea (again, a lot of praise).
Wenger hasn't complained a whole lot either, nor for that matter has Avram Grant.

Ferguson complained saying he was baffled how Liverpool got Mascherano two transfer windows ago. As if to suggest some dodgy dealing had gone on.

Mourinho complained every single time we beat them in the Champions League and insisted his team were the better side and should have won. Call it arrogant complaining. Mourinho had a go at Tottenham and their tactics for putting a 'bus' infront of the goal a good while back.

Wenger is one of the worst for it when things aren't going his way - especially of Fergie. Didn't he moan saying Mark Hughes' Blackburn were far too physical? Things have been going his way this season and deservedly so, his team have been superb.

Whether I sit here and continue examples of complaining or not - if you genuinely think Benitez is the only top manager to complain of those around him, then you must have a very selective memory.

As for the result, that'll do.

Don't know what to think about Benitez wearing a tracksuit today. It was obviously done after the statement made by the Americans and I don't think they'll find it too funny. Dangerous game to play if he wants to keep his job.

well someones lost his scoring ability. Ah i was gutted torres never scored, good performance in all areas by him though. good to see babel score again! lucas was looking fairly decent too. Hyypias gettin his legs back n'all!

the stupidity of some posts really do make me laugh, how could he have fielded his strongest side for every game when Agger, Alonso ,Torres Gerrrard have had long time injuries to name a few? we are unbeaten and have a game in hand over man ure and chelski which would put us only 3pts behind and 2pts ahead respectively , hmm oh yes crisis i see what you mean.

Money, well we got most of last years cash from our Champs league run where we got to our second final in 3 years under Rafas excellent management. I cant seem to remember Maureen or Fergle doing the same even though they have spent extreme mounts of cash . Babel, Torres and Benny have all given a nice return so far, and with Voronin also chipping a few in.

Utd have spent what ? 15m Carrick, 17m Harg, 30m Nani/Anderson ?tevez compared to the net £25 total we have, and like i said were only a few pts behind and yet to play against each other. You see Rafa in his 3-4yrs has achieved more than Fergie and Wenger did in their first few years.

Stongest available squad ok ? and and even when he has had a better player available he has rested the guy for a league game so he could play in the worthless cup.

For me Wenger is the best manager in the Prem as he can win doubles on a budget and play the best football the prem has seen whilst doing it. Fair play to the guy and I would love too see what he could do with our spending money.

For now I am still waiting for Benitez to prove me wrong but his job is to manage with what he has got, so I am with the Yanks on this one.

Scotlands best player, Fletcher?
John O'Shea?
Shawcross looks a good player.

Hey eekfek or whatever your name is don`t be a silly petulant little boy.
You know exactly what I mean so grow up. You want to get personal do it face to face not in a forum.

you dont belong on these forums, his opinions are not exactly far out, and he makes good points.
So you call him silly petulant little boy?
Then you tell him to grow up, and ask him to get face to face with you if he wants to be personal in future?
The only one being personal is you, so Ill take a page out of your book -
grow the hell up and get a life, and stop posting in this thread if your going to carry on with that attitude.

Well it's true. He had it with Mourinho and Chelsea.
Then he had it with Man Utd about Kick-Off times.
Now Arsenal and money.

The guy is running out of excuses, the guy does a whole lot of yapping and not much sense making.

Im sorry but thats absolute rubbish. Can you tell me when he's complained about Utd or Chelsea/Mourinho please. As for the Arsenal business he certainly wasn't complaining about Arsenal, he was asked about the difference between our youngsters and Arsenals and he answered by saying he wanted to sign some of them but couldn't afford them, no dig at all at Arsenal.

He's complained about kick-off times but thats simply a fact, every international break has followed us playing away from home and on a Saturday lunch-time.

As for the money, he actually said he wanted to sign a couple of Bosman's so he wasn't even asking for money.

As for Ferguson not complaining about anybody, didn't he have a go at Mourinho at the end of last year and then again at the beginning of this season telling him to keep quiet etc and then just a few months back called Liverpool chancers and accused us of foul play (which was never proved)?

I don't really see the problem anyway. Managers look out for their own team, that's what they're paid to do. Would be a little odd for it to be any other way.

Sissoko was shocking today, watching the highlights he must have given the ball away at least half a dozen times and his defensive work didn't make up for his lack of technical ability like it has done in the previous two seasons.

With Lucas looking great every time he plays we really don't need 5 central midfielders, if could get the rumoured 8-10 million for Sissoko in January I wouldn't be too sad to see him leave.

Btw this isn't a reaction to how Sissoko played today, more so based on his overall performances throughout this season.

We should've sold him in the summer and I don't know why Rafa kept him. Having said that, you've got to wonder why Rafa doesn't let him have a run in the team and plays him as an attacking midfielder when he does get a chance. Don't understand what Rafa's trying to achieve.

i doubt the rumoured 8-10mil is remotely true, hes more likely worth about 3mil at most the way he is playing. we were practically 10men.

cheers peetee but its not a problem, some people, maybe less educated, just dont seem to be able to deal with others valid comments . I mean he obviously isnt a Liverpool fan, and as such feels the need to spout off his opinions in a thread dedicated to Liverpool fans, not exactly a genius are you Ray74. I dont expect other fans to agree with my comments, and debate is fine but your manner of reply really doesn't show maturity or intelligence, maybe next time count to ten instead of this immature school ground behaviour.

Anyways back to football, so again 'other fans' seem to think Liverpool are under performing but like i said we aren't as far behind and were not panicking, especially now that man u dropped points and with the game in hand we can go joint 2nd. Yes we've dropped silly points at home to Spurs and Birmingham but were still unbeaten so we've taken points in every game , tis a long season and no-one can deny Liverpool are still in the hunt.

This week is make or break for us in the champs league which will be our toughest match this year, Porto like us have won the trophy in the last 5years and are no pushovers. The good thing is Gerrard is back to doing what he does best proving he is the best midfielder going forward in the world . His goal at Newcastle was sensational and his overall performance simply fantastic, thank geez he doesn't have to worry about laughable England anymore.

I find it hard to believe really, particularly after it repeatedly being mentioned that Mourinho cant come back to the PL without the club taking him on having to pay Chelsea a ridiculous fee, which we wouldnt pay. Although i do think Benitez is playing a bit of a dangerous game, i dont think it would ever quite get to that head where he'd leave, obviously they still may boot him if results dont go our way, but even then i doubt they'd bring Mourinho in as it'd be the same situation over again (Strong headed manager).

isn't it funny as soon as Liverpool put in a fantastic performance and get within touching distance of our rivals the press stir up the ridiculous .

Our 3rd goal was simply another class, if it were Wengers lot who scored it Motd would have spent 15mins covering it. We had great performances in all positions with Lucas looking like he's played in the Prem for years, also Momo who had a poor first 15mins but he broke up everything Newcastle tried in the 2nd half. He's rightly criticized for some performances but yesterday he was brilliant.
