well actually it is soldier of fortune: payback, but yeah soldier of fortune 3 really
I think the reason that the 6800 struggled with sof3 is that it has that blurred effect at certain times, like crysis does (i believe) and it made it feel a bit jerky and unresponsive. very smooth with the 8800 gt though
