Petrol Prices

v max derv from shell 110.9 :( although have measured at an extra 8.5% on the old mpg :) :) so quids in

Normally pretty cheap round here for fuel (central Scotland) but petrol is up to 99.9p and diesel 104.9p quite a jump in a month not been to the garage yet but suspect V Power must be 106.9p a litre. Scary thing is its still going up recon it must be over 110p a litre for diesel by Christmas.

Out of interest why is it currently rising so much? The gov put the duty up, and then next thing you know, prices are going up and up

Demand for Oil and in this case the weak dollar is not helping it much either.

Why you all moaning anyway? I told you this would happen and you all said you would be fine, but yet your still in here moaning.

Just glad i don't have to drive miles to work.

For example say my drive to work cost me a tank a week that about 20-30 extra a month. Add all the other price increases in shops etc, and there's yet more money gone.

pump prices are falling now around here, shell have dropped back under the pound a litre mark now. Pumping in 99.8/l feels considerably better than 101.9.

Lucky you they are still rising here and I cant see it getting any better soon. Out of sheer curiosity is petrol rising at such stupid rates in other european countires or as usual is it just us getting ripped off?

Same, cheapest I can see is £1.06 p/l - not a vast difference over £1, but I can't afford if it keeps going up.

Yes its going up all over the world, Europe is more so, less buying power then the states. France its more expensive to fill up then here in comparison to wages (NOT exchange rates). With China and India buying ever more oil, and already hit peak production it's not going to go down.
