most stable drivers for

COD 4 keeps crashing, at first I thought it was cooling because it was either happening at the beginning of levels or not at all but I have checked the ati tool log and returned my card to default clocks and the card is at 50c (water cooled) or below when it crashes...

Any ideas what the best drivers are for cod 4?

I am currently on 169.02.

Can't say which is the most stable of the newer ones as I am still on 162.18, but I have not had a single crash with any of the recent games I have played - COD4, GOW, HL2 Ep2, Crysis.

Not sure if I am losing out on any performance by not installing the newer drivers, but as it is so stable I am holding off for a while yet until someone/thing convinces me to change.

Probably the latest 169.09 beta's, as the 169.02's were out before COD4.

I played through the first few levels of COD4 with the 169.02s and had no problems. I'm now using the 169.09 betas and they're fine too. What card are you using?

I have an asus 8800GT which incidentaly will not overclock at all on water

I changed to the latest beta last night and played for an hour without problem.
