Crysis - Nothing happens after I destroy the 2 tanks

First of all, sorry for yet another Crysis topic but I couldn't really post it in the official thread since it has spoilers.

So I'm on the second mission, the one where you go into the school and find the archaeologist. A large military force then comes and attacks you and you have to take out two tanks. I did this but then nothing happened. No changes in the objectives and no radio message. Heck even if I go back into the room, the guy and gal just stand there looking all sexy. Has this happened to anyone else? and can anyone suggest a solution?
 
From what i remember there is only 2 tanks. Is there any point on the map you need to go to? Have you tried re-loading the game and doing it again?
 
Destroy the 2 tanks then move on in direction you did'nt come from, you get some audio from one of the others telling you whats ahead, but thats it iirc.
 
Well there was another large red arrow near the coast on the road that you came from, but when I got to it all it was was a few soldiers and a truck (a small outpost basically). Oddly, when I got back to the school, the guy and gal had dissapeared :O

I also tried reloading an earlier save from just when I entered the compound through the fences. Nothing happened after I destroyed the tanks then either.

I had a peak at an online guide which said to follow a river after you supposedly get a radio message following the destruction of the tanks. So I went upstream and go to a cave; went through and the next mission started. I would start the mission but I wanna know what happens with the guy and gal first.

Sorry for repeatedly calling them the guy and gal :P
 
Prophet is waiting for you in lots of undergrowth, near a small stream running through the valley, you must have missed him.
 
It's a popular bug that a few people have had - me included. Some have said replaying from an earlier save has fixed the problem or you could do what I was directed to do and find the trail to the right of the second waterfall (using strength to jump up the boulders). This seems to bypass any objectives that haven't been updated, its about 2 o'clock from memory from the direction you enter that level.

Can anyone clarify whether I'm supposed to get an objectives update, radio message or anything else after I destroy the two tanks?
 
I had that bug-to get round it head up to the exit furthest away from the sea. Head up the river, past all the patrols (I legged it, didnt have the firepower to fight) and eventually you find a cave. The mission will catch you up again when you reach it.
 
after u distory the 2 tanks u have to walk around near the water fall and there is a bit u can power jump and u follow that route and it takes you to another part of the map. I was looking for it for like 20mins till i noticed the rocks and jumped up.

It's not a bug, he just doesn't know where to go... I didn't get an update until a few meters before I jumped up the rocks Ronaldo described above iirc.
 
Go to the town hall in the town there's intel in there where upon you will get a new point to head to.
Town hall has a truck outside and is heavily guarded.
 
once you have done the tanks, walk towards the far end of the map. there will be like a tunnel with a door across the front, to the right of this tunnel there is an area you can pass threw with your suit in strength mode, just jump over anything and go forward. be careful round the stream as it gets patrolled quite heavily
 
I didnt read the whole thread, but if it doesnt work, ou have to do the entire level again. I am not joking, I just had to do the whole effin boat level again because my nuke wouldnt "nuke" :mad:
 
is there not another spoilers thread for this? I dont want to keep having to read thread titles and figure out the game before playing it.

/rant :)
