Looks great and i can max it at 1920x1200, still needs more maps though really needs another 15 good ones.

i dont remember "bloom" being on the options of the original either.

Supreme Commander does have bloom, at least it's there on mine 1.1.3260

Just got this, the UI is strange and will take a bit of getting used too. Running Vista here and it runs as good as Sup Com original.

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

I've had it for a couple of weeks (it came out earlier over here) and have mixed feelings about the single player campaigns. You have access to all the Techs from the start of each mission. While this may seem good at first, it usually means the missions tend to play out the same - hold off on completing the first objective while you level up to T3 (or even T4-X) because otherwise the 2nd/3rd objectives are crazy hard and/or have a time limit. While I'm sure some people will like this, I prefer the story to play out in a more realistic and balanced fasion. As it is, it just feels like a Skirmish with a few frills.

Some of the new units are fun - but some of the originals seem a bit useless now. The worst has to be the UEF T3 bomber - it just doesn't do anything....it gets taken down way too easily and when it does manage to drop its small nuke it seems to do absolutely no damage :confused:

What makes it even worse is the new T2 Fighter/Bomber is quicker and cheaper to build, lasts longer over enemy territory, and does some really punishing bombing runs.

I haven't tried Skirmish/MP yet, but now there is no Mass Fab at T1 it's probably more interesting - you have to get out and fight for early control of mass deposits.

For the price I'm saying yes. Paid more for less playtime & quality

Also if you dont have the original, you can get the Gold Edition for £17.99, the same price as the expansion alone.

well cant really argue for £15quid tbh

so went and bought it , been playing supcom for the last 2 weeks on and off skirmish mode

any idea if the expansion has skirmish?

supcom gets boooring after a while with the same tech level.

All i play is skirmish, i wouldnt bother with it, if it was just online, the AI is harder, a lot harder. Anyone have any links to a big map pack for this or vanilla SC? I just want a load in one instead of having to grab them one by one off the lobby.

Supreme commander get's my GOTY vote, with bioshock and the witcher stupidly close, so, ofc i was going to pre-order it...

And then i ralised i could get supcom gold for the same price, so cancelled my pre-order, and re-pre ordered on the 15th, game released on the 23rd, and it still hasn't been bloody dispatched!

Not happy with jersey at all :mad:

Suppose i was in the beta for it though

It's not. But Skirmish is now excellent.

Hard AI and now map area ownership counts for a lot.

Try the cheating AIx. Mental.

go on supreme commander files, loads of good maps on there, also the aeon are now even harder, love the new AI, finally something worth fighting, also the aeon T3 cluster artillery, area saturation at its best

Got this on release day, its AWESOME, always liked my chris taylor strat games, 1920x1200 x2 screens is a winner !
