:) :( Both my VM's died again today, they are up and running now but it means my seti output has massively increased for today, Rich, as soon as I get my pending credit you will be stomped again :o

grrrrr mumble grumblings :p

I still have my old Slot/SocketA rigs at home - they'd need quite a lot of dusting off though :o

I still have a pile of bits for socket A lurking here, god, I've got slot A stuff too :o I'm no good a chucking stuff out and it doesn't even sell on the bay :(

Build and sell in local paper for Xmas :)

I'd have to buy boxes to sell them, not many folks want to buy something like this !

That poor old rig crunched an awful lot of seti wu's 24x7 for a couple of years! I think Skree/Lazerblade had the CPU out of it and used it up some more too!

still have it if it's the XP2100. became part of the most reliable computer I have ever owned. was my main cruncher for ages. probably did more wu's over the time i had it on seti1 than it's replacement as main cruncher, an XP-M1600 on a dfi infinity with bh-5 and super good watercooling, clocked to the limit - wasn't crunching nearly as long as the 2100, as seti1 died :( stashing on that XP2100 was the only reason i beat rich to submission in a race.. nostalgia, man :D

Still use both rigs. the XP2100 is the main rig downstairs, it still does a good job as a base rig, don't have the heart to replace it till its dead. the XP-M is my media/ents rig, of course now on air cooling and minus like 700mhz but still going strong :D

Going to replace the XP-M with a core2 at some point in the new year. fancy a quad hehehe

Has to be. I never managed to get much of an overclock out of it due to the non-overclocking ECS mobo i had it on, and it being a palomino core, but CPUFSB let me get it up to like, 1800mhz from 1733. I've had it running like that 24/7 ever since. We must be talking 4 years, if not more. I've kinda lost track of time, but 4 years seems a reasonable estimate for the time i've had it.

that chip puts truth to a rule that I heard a LONG time ago and have made my motto when building: "For every 7c you take off a CPU's temperature you double it's lifespan" - I've had it running mid 40s all this time - £7 Coolermaster "Up to XP3200" 80mm HSF, deadspot modded, lapped, and arctic silver. And that's a 75w chip too. never missed a beat in all this time. OcUK cruncherton MASTER and supremely honourable chip. :D

lol.. baahaha @ all the people who said palomino's were carp. its still reasonably useful too. sure its no cruncher anymore but meh its good enough for a noob like my dad.. lol
