Feel inferior by watching 10 of the godliest gamers in action

its not, most likely, you ever remember how fast tetris got right before you got owned? like i said, its just memorising which pieces come out, which way they need turning and where to stick them. boring and pointless.

Like musicians, learning which keys to press or chords to play, no skill at all :p

You know the blocks don't have any preset sequence right? That it's random every time?

except, not all, but lots of musicians like to change things slightly each time, making it slightly random. but the point is, they write NEW songs, and they create, playing is the easy part, creation of music is what musicians are about. I can play the guitar pretty damn well, and the difference between me, and slash, is i can't write music to save my life. thats what makes him a far better musician than i could ever be.

these guys don't create new levels, they memorise and repeat ad nauseum till they've got it down. the mario thing is cool, but you play a level through 50 times till you perfect it then do a run through. you think that guy just went, hmmmmm, i'll play mario this one time, record it? probably took weeks to get that done after months of playing it. same with a lot of the video's.

i think you'll also find the tetris isn't random, while you can find versions of tetris that are less random, you can find versions that aren't. pretty much the only player reacting to difference circumstances is the street fighter vid, which is the most impressive IMHO. but it still came down to the fact he played so much he knew the timing of the chunlin kick combo so the blocking had been memorised and was automatic.

i think that was my bro playing streetfighter he was that good won tournes and same at mortal kombat aswell.h used to play streetfighter 8 hrs a day

the least impressive there is the street fighter imo.. some people can own anyone just by hearing the game (not seeing screen)

none of the others require you to see the screen really either. street fighter was only marginally less good imho because, well the other person could have memorised it just as well so the guy was at least slightly better than the guy he was fighting.

You cant memorise that!!!! The crowd went nuts because it is nigh on IMPOSSIBLE to do. I have seen most of the matches from that particular tournament a few years ago and it was insane! Having played for years and years and seen god knows how many videos I have seen a few parrys but NEVER in my life have I seen a full 15-parry followed by the special move at the end. It was NUTS!!!

Did I use enough !!!!!!!!!!?

LMAO ! Ok you go try and complete even the most noobular level on tetris without looking at the screen.
"Yeah I felt the rotation of the shape through the direction of the blue photons emitted from the screen onto my face"

ehh?? Chun li does the special hundred kick thingy (15 kicks superfast)

So you have to have GODLIKE reflexes to block every single one (high middle low) and then a ***** mid-air block superfast also followed up with an AWESOME uber-combo of his own. WTF that was Skill dude. I used to play a little streetfighter in the arcades waaay back.

no wonder the crowd was going nuts..

Even if he memorizes which way he needs to block first..he still needs to actually react ultra jedi fast to do so! And then put into motion his own ninja killer combo.. Awesome...just really. :D

edit: goes off to watch it again :)
