Will a 8800 GT work with my rubbish mobo

I will be getting a new mobo in 2 weeks but will it work fine on my current mobo just for those 2 weeks or does it have to be PCI E 2.0.

My current mobo is this

Also does this mobo support PCI E 2.0

Why are you getting such an old motherboard? You can pick up an Abit IP35-E for about the same price.

He may want the option t go SLI in the future.

In which case a 680i mobo would be a better bet.

Single GFX card then a P35 is the best option.

680i for SLI

Doesn't matter.

The X38 is Pci e 2.0

The best P35 mobo's around 70 ish is the Abit P35 E and the Gigabyte P35
