Do you still tell your folks, you love them?

Howzit Guys,

Just wondering, if people still tell their Moms and Dads they love them?

I still tell my old man and Mom I love them, everyday. However it seems as it isn't said anymore...

Are you female ?

Be really weird saying it to my dad .......thinking about it it would be weird saying it to my mum either :D
Still they never said it to me....we don't say things like that in my family :D

I tell my Mum yes, my Dad no, because frankly I tolerate his alcoholic backside due to my Mum still wanting to be with him, but hes done nothing in recent years to deserve my love.
(Or even show he loves me either)

dont think ive ever said it to my parents... dont recall hearing it off them...think my mum might have said it when i was 7 or so....Dont anticipate this changing any time soon...not with my kind of parents. We dont talk to each other much.

last person ive said it to was my ex.. :( :( uhmm yeah...plenty more fish and all that...*sniff* :(

maybe thats why she is you ex :D start telling them you love them you get dumped !
Been with mine about 4 years still not told her ;)

she uhmm said it first kinda.. i remember it like it was yesterday.. it was just before she got on the train to go back home....long distance rel :/

i have to remind myself daily that she was a crazy insane demon-witch and im 200% better off just to get through the day... :(

I know how you feel mate,I was living with a swiss girl untill she went home ,she was on my mind 99.9 % was really hard but after about 3 years I was completely over her :D

I found the best thing was to get a new girlfriend as soon as possible ,it still hurt but helped ,better than sitting at home feeling sorry for myself :D

This thread reminds me of that My name is Earl episode where Earl and his brother had never said i love you to each other :D.

I don't say it to my parents and definitely not my brother or sister. I think i used to when i was a kid though.

I say it when it comes up. I don't just say it for something to say, but if the conversation goes that way I have no qualms in saying it.

Actually once I told my dad I loved him constantly for about four hours, but I was drunk.

Actually I think that's happened at least twice.

lol uhmmm :o i tried that.... broke up with them after 2 weeks (on the third time i saw them) oh well live and learn...

Think my parents would think me more weird if i told them.

Would only tell them in a difficult situation.

I am 27 and my bro is 36 and we still tell our mum we love her, I have not told my dad since i was about 13

I didn't ever get told this as a child and I never felt loved either.

I made sure my children were told regularly and I still tell them even though most are adults and none of them have a problem saying it either.

Yeah so did I ,don't let that stop you ,infact I got through loads in the first 6 months :D,I was asking out every girl I met .
I was in sainsburys one time deciding which checkout girl to chat up and noticed that all 3 tills in a row had girls on that I had asked out :D

I can't ever remember saying it to any of my family. It's just not something we do. Anyway, there's no need, we all know that it's a given.

With my ex-girlfriends however I've told them on pretty much a daily basis.

the fact that we get on so much better now is an indication of the fact that I love them.

yes very often :) starting at uni in september made me realise how much you take your parents for granted and what your true priorities in life really are
