I seem to have developed a BSOD bug :( the problems lies with ATi as when it does BSOD the file it says causing this is atimsg.dll (may not be exact as it happens so fast I don’t have time to see it) the weird thing it only happens when I have MCE open which BSOD early in the morning, I really don’t know what’s happening but its driving me insane, have tried a reinstall of the drivers etc to no avail, I really don’t want to format as it’s taken me a while to set it up.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi thanks for the speedy reply :D

Looks like I missed those patches, installing now. Something I have just realised its started to happen when I updated to the new ATi 7.11s drivers a week or so back, if the above patched don’t cure the problem I will have to put the old set back on :(

Any luck so far ?

No BSOD so far, MCE has being on all day but saying that it only seems to crash early in the morning  I’ll just have to see touchwood the patches have fixed the issue, I’ll find out when I wake up for work and the computer has reset :p

There back :( got 5 last night! As again the problem is early on in the morning

I can’t quite work this out seems the new 7.11 driver set has problems with Vista MCE

Given that this only happens in spurts, have you considered it may simply be a faulty card or not enough juice or something, with the updated drivers just being a coincidence? No way of testing it without a similar card I guess, but it's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility, as no one else seems to be having this issue.

If you roll back to 7.10 and it still happens, then it's would appear to not be the drivers causing the issues.
