Was Crysis Overhype?

It wasn't overhyped anything that EA gets involved with is rush released i am sure had they had more time we would have a far greater game.
Some people are just miffed that they have quads and have no real use or need for them.:D
personally i like it and bought it yesterday for £17.64 delivered for the multiplayer which i happen to think is 1st class.

Yes style over content but the style is good and the content is even better which more than suited me fine.

I say I love it.

3K of editing software has to utilise all four cores or it goes back.

I'm a professional...Thats my Job.


Its a shame Game companies don't have the same gumption.As Video software companies.

It's all about COD4, I'm off for the next two days so I have plenty of time for a lock in and to really get stuck into this :D. Must get Mass Effect though.
 
It's a good game but i shall not be playing the single player ever again once through is enough for any game however good it is.
Too short and needed more variety are the only things i could aim at it.

That would be true for a lot of games, but this is one of the games where you can make so many different choices the second time round, does that not interest you?

Many have that, with 1 Core hardly loaded and others sitting doing next to nothing, ok not action shot but still should use Cores.

You seem to be the dumb and blind one. I see nothing wrong with what was said in there it was not disclosed whether they meant DX9 or DX10 maximum settings (High or Very High).

They could have meant maximum DX9 settings = High
or maximum DX10 settings = very high

But with what was said the 8800GTX still can play at very high DX10 but with an average FPS of 25 1680x1050 which is playable, but only just.

Fot the Record, he picked/started 3 fights with peeps today alone.

I have gave my proof that others were too lazy to go look for, I cant speak for everyone but I agree with the OP's topic but all it took was a few comments laid out in same fashion as 1st few peeps to post, not all out war.

I hope to enjoy Crysis some day in 2008 when its patched and SP1 is with Vista, for now I have far better games to play through IMO. (CoD4 and TimeShift).

Also picked/started fights, with whom?, this isn't the school playground although it does feel like it with kids like you about. If you're older than me I'll be incredibly surprised by the way you act.

I already posted my own task manager log on here whilst running the Crysis CPU benchmark, in which the character is just running around shooting buildings and blowing up cars.

Tell me that's not using all cores? It's not using them to 100% because of GPU-limitation of course (1680x1050 all high, no AA), but it's using them all. At one point you can plainly see more than 33% load on three of them.

Just answered your own question as to why it's only using one core. No enemies and no physics.
