25 and Over vs under 25's?

Just tried connecting via our external line we use for testing and cant, it is just timing out. However, I notice that the bandwidth is pretty much maxed out and Im thinking that our helpdesk boys are up to their old bit torrent tricks. I will take a walk over there later and see if I can catch them out - its always good to keep them on their toes.

If I cant test further later on, I will try from home later..

The server is certainly is up and running, just not usable at the moment. Apparently it's running on an outdated protocol compared to my client. Seems it needs some server side patching before we can connect.

"This server is using an older protocol ( 9 ) than your client ( 14 )."

It's updated now, should be good to go. You might get kicked as I work out the best config and restart it.

Pretty much every evening and most of the weekend is fine for me.

Can play tonight or tomorrow, away at the weekend. Generally tho, no night is better than any other.

Can't do late on Thursdays (i.e. 9pm onwards) and will struggle to attend weekend events. Most weeknights I'm fine though with suitable notice...

Older on red team, younger on blue.

Just to test things out, and see how it all goes.

No matches or anything, just a good ole romp.

It's up on dustbowl at the moment, s-p was able to join the match earlier. However there's a back end admin DB problem that's preventing us administering it, WS are aware and have agreed to reimburse us the downtime and some compensation for the hassles.

I'll mail you directly if I hear anything. Won't be able to join in tonight sadly as I'm being forced to drink beer.

I'm in tomorrow night though if anyone is around?

Yeah, 8:00 sounds cool.

At least the server up and running now. Was not for a bit when I got home and tried, but going nicely now...

Guess it will just be cycling through all the maps there are. The admin side is not working too well right now as Randal pointed out, so will have to use it as is until the get it sorted.

No matches as such tonight. Just testing out the server.

Think we can still stick to older(red) vs young (blue), but just messing about.

So anyone can just pop in when ever they feel like.

On a side note, how the hell do I change my name in TF2?

Although I can't speak for ffallic, I'm sure that'll be fine. I'm only around till 9pm or so, so worse case scenairo is you take me place.

Right, just got the Orange Box (and was v disappointed that it's just an orange dvd case, I thought it was a SE 'tin' box). I'll try the server soon as it's ready.
