25 and Over vs under 25's?

Nobody in at the moment...

Anyway, while everyone is free to use the server whenever they like, I would like to set up a match for Sunday, so just putting a feeler up for who is up for that?

Say, 8PM?

Server ip is 83.142.230.35:27015 (tis in the OP). Pings were around 25 - 60 last night - mine was 40 which is about as good as mine gets nowadays.

Morning all, did you manage to get a game on last night?

Admin panel appears to be fixed today, bonus :)

Anyone around for a game tonight?

There was pretty much only 3 of us for a bit, though a 4th stopped in for a minute.

At least we got to see it was working.

Glad to hear the Control panel working again.

Just wondering, do we really need a password on the server? Does it appear in the public list, and the only thing stopping just anyone joining is the pw?

Am currently trying to arrange a match for Sunday night, though I am pretty much always around and will be up for it if some others are.

Probably only be around later in the evening around 9 or 10. Being Friday though, am not worried about an early night :)

I'll also be on around 9-10 tonight.

Btw maybe an idea to exchange steam friends/xfire etc so it's easier to communicate/join games? Just a thought, here's mine:

Steam: ollie111
Xfire: ollie111

I'd be up for a TF2 game tonight/sunday - over 25 here. If this carries on i'd be prepared to put some money in the pot as well.

I think having a PW is a good idea to start with to limit it to people who are based here on OCUK, however if very few people turn up then making it public might be required to make the matches more interesting. However, if it is public then putting [ocuk] at the front of your steam/tf2 name might be an idea for id purposes - thoughts?

How do you deal with team balancing if there are fewer over 25's? (or does it really matter?)

My TF2 name is 'Defrag' - what is everyone elses so I can recognise a few on there?

Will have to deal with balancing issues if they come up. I guess youngest or oldest of larger group could move across, or just anyone, but its nothing really worth worrying about.

My Steam ID is Eyetrip.

Might add [OCUK] to the front of that.

Agreed, probably not much point on the password as it's a private unpublished server. However it wouldn't let me create it without one for some reason. I'll try and remove it laters on.

Match on Sunday sounds good, I'm around all night tonight too. I'll be on MSN (details in trust).

It'll cost us another fiver if we want to make it public, but we can get that as a bolt on upgrade. Yeah, I was going to change my name to have something like that on there or some other way of saying I'm in >25 team might be an idea if we're bouncing around teams to make the numbers even.

You showed up as masterdog last night though.....

Your TF2 name is different to your Steam User Name, and your Steam ID is different to them both :p

My TF2 name: oL
Steam User Name: ollie111
Steam ID: erm some numbers I can't remember, like: 203010:201

**HEAD EXPLODES**

hahaha

Edit: I'll try to explain to you!

TF2 name.. you change it in the TF2 options, not steam options.

Steam User Name is the name you use to log into steam when you registered, you can't change it iirc, and it is the name you use to add people to Steam Friends.

Steam ID is a number every steam user is given, don't worry about this, only time i've used it is when adding my profile to online ladders for clans etc.
