Bloody typical. England get lucky again. It is almost un bearable. Sure a summer of crappy football coverage was going to such, but at least its better than england this and england that. No way should just one player, who probably didnt even play be allowed to ruin a whole nations chances at glory.

Im scottish and i dont hate english, or want them to fail but they way they are covered in the media angers me a lot. No doubt they will be saying they deserved to qualify as well. outrageous.

Got to laugh at some of the comments.

How is that remotely selective 'memory'? I can remember all the comments thanks, just didn't feel the need to paste them all in here, just the one I found reasonably amusing.

Meh for the team you're meant to be, you didnt deserve to go through in the slightest.

On another note dont u love sports personality of the year? David Healy sets a new Euro qualifiers goal scoring record, scoring a hat trick against spain and while playing for northern ireland of all countries. If he was rooney or any english player commentators wouldn't have shut up about it and the award would be sitting by his bed already.

Healy of course isn't even in contention, nice.
