GeForce 9 series, due for February 08

If that is true then it pretty much leaves the rumour of an 8950gx2 in January dead in the water, would be pointless if a new gen is released 30 days later.

Depends on the cost and performance.

If the GX2 costs less than what 2 GT's cost, and is a single board card, and does not require SLI to work, and performs nearly twice as well as a GT, then it may be worthwhile.

Remember, the 9800GTX will likely be over £400.

Even if it doesn't require sli enabled motherboards to work (7950gx2 didn't either) you still have the profile thing which means not every game will work with it and some obviously will not show gains as large as people would expect. Id say most will hold out for the 9800gtx or gts depending, dual cards can be good but given the choice i think most will go for a single card.

Yeah most will hold out for the 9800

Think if I goto halifax I can open up a non current PC bank account?

I just hope the Geforce 9 isnt some dual type card... we really need a card thats just able to handle crysis and then some more....@ 24"/1920x1200+ LCDS and above !

My days of buying top end are over.

The gap over top end and "mid Range" is getting smaller.

Making the higher end parts a rip off.
