They shouldn't, but sadly they do. If someone doesn't fancy you, there's less chance they'll ever bother finding out what you're like personality-wise.

i had an awful, awful photograph taken of me at a party last week by a certain photographer who frequents this forum but who shall remain nameless. He took some nice ones too though, so I shall forgive him (in time, when the mental scars have healed

I take an absolutely awful photo too, although everyone tells me I look fine so maybe there's just something about looking at a photo of yourself and thinking it's ugly.
