Starbucks just let me buy a latte with my credit card. I just took out a loan of £2.70 for an egg-nog latte...

If this is the culture we live in, no wonder there is an impending credit crisis - assuming there IS one, and we're not just heading towards a world where the only problem is that we can buy lattes we cant afford.

What is the smallest amount you've managed to put on credit?

I think the major issue here, is why you were buying an eggnog one, when the gingerbread one is far superior.

Surely the CC processing fee would be a huge percentage of that price?

Smallest amount I've ever put on a CC was £1.99 for a sandwich.

A once bought something on my card for 12 grand, wouldn't normally but hadn't got any loose change on me ;)

I can image the phone card when the car dies:

Err, hi, is that Barclay Card?
I need a chargeback on an item.
About 12 THOUSAND POUNDS
Silence.....

Even McDonalds now accept credit cards. Shocking.

It's strange, but in a way I prefer it to cash.

And wb cbs, but the real issue is why on earth you're buying an egg-nog latte !

I consider buying low-value items as a form of protest against the corporations, by buying items which are less than £1 from the Tesco DIY checkouts with a credit card, I'm slowly bringing the system down from the inside. Peace and Love!
