All went okay and successfull. then reboot and nothing!!!!!!

Run downstairs rip apart rents PC to get a PCI GFX card. have to reflash back to stock.

But i was pooping myself for about 10mins....

I'll have another go tomorrow night :D

Now here's a lesson for all you you potential bios flasher's, wear a nappie before you go in for the flash :p

Good luck with the flash.;)

What have you done to make the flash fail??

Is it ok to have a second PCI-E card on a sli mobo to flash the primary card back or does it have to be a cheapo PCI card?

If your Force Flashing it could try Flash the spare lol.

I use a old PCI GPU or Blind Flash, infact I dont as its made into a Autobat file all I need do Blind is press "Y".

i'm not sure wjhy it failed, it was the modded bios from XS.

I think it was more luck that the rents computer is pants ;) First of all, all i could find was a agp card thats about 5 years old...

I might just write my own modded bios using the stock bios tonight and try that.

I think its the same bios I used, went fine for me, you using latest version of NVFlash?

When i flash, I normally run the flash several times to try and make sure it's done (bit like pressing C or CE on a calculator multiple times because I could never remember which one clears everything lol).

But lesson number #1: Always make up a disk FIRST to flash blindly back to your original bios. (and if your clever enough a usb stick to boot from (which can be a pain in the rear end).

I don't think you can wreck a graphics card through bios flashing.

If it fails you just drop in a PCI card and flash again or create an automated boot disk.

Think again mate, I have a very dead 6800GT that I killed by flashing incorrectly, no matter how many re-flashed I carried out, it never worked again.

Its still around here somewhere in a jiffy bag! :o

It is possible, pretty unlikely though. So long as you have a blind flash disk to hand and set your mobo to boot from CD > HDD first you should be able to rescue it.

Cant you try get an RMA on it lol?

I wonder.... Actually it was around £305 inc VAT when I bought it, so that must make it about 3 years old at least (Leadtek Winfast A400 GT TDH) GX-068-LT is the Oc/Uk stock sticker on the box , which I still have!

I think its a tad out of warranty..... :o
