I have fancied getting a tattoo for i while now, but was always stumped for ideas then someone said Einstein to me, while he idea of the old fella on my arm is ok, it lead me on to thinking about symbols, chemical formula, double helix etc.

So far the Atom is my favorite.

What else could i have.

slighty off topic, but are there any similar sites like bmeink, with loads of peoples tattoos???

They're all going to laugh at you. I'm serious.

Leonardo da Vinci's, Vitruvian Man? but then is a picture of a man with his willy out any better then an old dude as a tattoo.

I could never just decide i wanted a tattoo and then scout around till i found an ok/good picture. I would want to have my heart set on one exact design before i decided to get it painted into my skin.

science wise i'd go for:
something like...

I was gonna get a computer symbol of some sort but things move out of technology so quickly whatever I get will be meaningless in a few years

In my opinion, getting a tattoo like this is even more lame than having some "tribal" writing on your arm that you don't know what it means in English. At least then you're telling the word you haven't got a clue what it is written on you but by having a sciencey tattoo on your arm you're giving off the impression that you know what it means and understand it with so much depth that you can find humour in it. Just trying to find one that looks cool and makes you look brainy is a bit silly.
