What do you Believe

I believe the most logical conclusion from whatever observations we can make. That's why I don't believe in god. It's not because I don't think it's possible that a god exists, it's because there isn't really anything to suggest there is that can't be explained more easily by something else.

In practice I defer the logical conclusions to people more knowledgable than me, but I like to have a basic understanding of them.
 
I believe in Jesus, as the son of God (and God himself), as the Saviour of the world from the power of sin. Also I believe that God is good, that there is no imperfection in him, all bad stems from sina and Satan.

Christians aren't that bad though, my housemate has a Christian friend who belongs to a loaded family. They just bought a new TV and gave their old one to us! Bonus!!

Absolute faith in a religeon is something that people without will truely never understand. Faith like that must be a comfort in life to the individual - knowing for certain that there is something greater beyond our observations.


I'll never understand people who have an absolute faith though, but its an interesting topic.

By Satan I presume you mean the fallen angel Lucifer. But wait didn't God create all the angels, including Lucifer? So where did this sin and imperfection come from if not God himself?
The Alpha course I went on never did answer that question.

that depends if you believe in free will. God created the earth and bad things happen here. Do you really think that picking holes in other people's beliefs will make them believe them any less?

I think all religions is rubbish I cant understand how people are dumb enough to beleive it (ok I believe the americans are). I dont mind other people being religous except when it gets in the way. Someone on my uni course has to travel 2hours each way to come uni and yet he wont go in a catered hall as they dont have some special meat, yet he complains to me (obviously hes muslim) that he cant get into a hall of residense (when hes been offered plenty of times). what an idiot.

myself I have xmas and easter with the family as a tradition for some good family times. I dont believe in evolution, I KNOW evolution is real, theres plenty of evidence about.

normally I'd let that go - but I'm afraid you can't go round calling other people dumb when you spell the same word correctly and incorrectly in the same sentence
 
I find it strange that no-one says anything about everybody else's beliefs, but mine get several replies!

BTW those quotes are about the Old Testament Jewish law, not the commands of God
