Reasons to shout obscenities?

Gambling isn't intelligent. Unless of course it's poker - but even then if you know all the odd's etc you still have the possibility of losing cash.

Intelligent gambling is putting £1 on a footy accumulator once a weekend for 5 teams and having a possible return of £440. Makes the matches more interesting anyway.

You say that but i know of a person one of my dads friends who last year won in total over £200000 by betting on american football hardly can call that luck...

Sorry but Gambling is luck, that £200,000 (which i take with a truck load of salt) was won through a bet, which was a gamble, which he won through luck - not skill.

If there was skill to gambling we'd all be rich. The odd's must have been stacked against him to win that sort of cash, or he got very lucky with an accumulator on the results of several games.

How much was he betting with?

He didnt just place one bet down and win 200 grand i think thats everyones dream. all i know is he placed many bets through the american football season and has been very successful through it i dont know the ins and outs of it as im not a friend of his.

By the way i won another £27.50 on the football over 3 bets does that make me a lucky sod again :p
 
Its funny...I know of a "professional gambler". Literally you ask him what he does and he'll say "im a professional gambler". Thing is...this guy lives off of his winnings. I mean literally..he is a pro. He's been doing it for years and is minted which is evident from his life style. How on earth does one become and let alone make a living from gambling? I dont get it. When I asked him that before he got upset and said that everyone always asks him that and doesn't take him seriously. I think he thought I was taking the **** but I was genuinely asking.
