Not sure a rear fan blowing out is ideal, I'd try and use the front-back airflow. Luckily my 810 has two 12cm fans, granted not deltas but should be enough. 31 idle, doesn't go above 50 (ATI X1900XT 688/783)
the picture is showing what its like with the side panel open. imagine the side panel closed on it (hence the red arrows).
technically with the set up closed, the side panel is pushing air onto the card. it works good as well,
I have left 3 pci slots on the case open to help remove the warm air... however I'll be raiding the mrs tights later to help filter dust out on the 120mm on the side panel
The S1 comes with 8 ramsinks and the GT has 8 modules. So, as long as you don't loose any you will be fine. I actually had better results running the ram naked (without sinks), but I did have a 12cm blowing cool air onto the card.Hi there, I have an S1 and bought thermal tape but I didn't buy extra ramsinks, are there not enough included? How necessary are the ram sinks anyway, afaik the stock cooler doesn't do anything for ram aside from create airflow (I'll have a fan pointing at gfx card anyway) My card is an evga superclocked).

Would someone mind telling me how important it is to put heatsinks on the voltage regulators and if possible put a diagram of where the hottest bits are (that are not ram or gpu), I've got some seperate ones but the sinks are way bigger than the voltage regulators... Looks like it might be a pain to get them on. I've heard they're the smallest and hottest part, all my ram sinks are on and the main cooler is working nicely...The S1 is listed in the 8800GT section now and the price has gone up! glad I ordered one yesterday when they were cheaper
I have also ordered a 120mm 3pin fan, can I plug this into the header on the GT or will I have to connect it to my mobo.
I was idling around 60! Immediately put my custom cooler on and now I get 45 idle and 60 under load completely passively!I've ordered a thermalright hr03-gt
should be here tomorrow, comes will all heatsinks including one for the voltage regulators, will let you know some temps but at the moment mine are around 92 during gaming on 80% fan
