I had a nice day yesterday. An easy day at work, except I have a touch of flu, but on my way home from work, I found a £20 note floating in a puddle. I then met the gf who had just bought me a new pair of shoes and some very nice Champagne Truffles from Thorntons. We also enjoyed each other company several times last night. So all in all a good day.

The most money I have found was £30 rolled up once. Whats the most money you have found? Anyone here ever found the elusive suitcase full of money?

I once found a £50 note in a passed-out drunk guy's pocket. I wonder if he's alright

I found just over £2000 when I was 9 years old, most of it was in coins and it had been dumped in puddles near my house. It was winter and I was out breaking ice with a stick (oh the fun!) when I noticed it, Police took it away but later returned it to my parents as it hadn't been claimed and although they suspected it was from a robbery they had no proof.

since then I've found some wallets but always hand them in to the police, they always seem to get claimed fortunately.

I found a wallet with about £100 in it doing my paper round once round the back of a hotel/club locally. There was a contact number in it, so I called the chap up when I got home. He turned up round the house hungover as sin saying he was "in a bit of a 2 and 8 last night" and wasn't sure how that happened.

Gave me £20 for my trouble, good ol karma. :)

As i walk my dog 3 times a day i am always finding things. Last two was a wallet & before that a Handbag.
The wallet had money & cards in it but i don't know how much as i was only loking for contact details. The handbag was full to the brim with the most memorable item being a Plastic male Appendage :p

Once opened the car door at a petrol station and a new £20 note was lying there. I umm honestly went in and handed it in, as payment for my tank of petrol :D

Found a tenner underneath a cash machine before, and found a £20 note in front of a clockroom counter at a club before. Pity the drinks were so expensive there that more than half of it was gone in two drinks :(

I bought a car once, which used to be a taxi. One day, my son dropped a pound down the back seat, to which I said I would look for and promptly forgot. About a week later, I went to work and forgot my wallet, I then remembered the pound, so I could eat at least something for lunch. On checking under the back seat, I actually found £14 in pound coins and further monies in assorted change. You would think if you were a taxi driver, the first place you would look is behind your seats for loose change! Anyway the car lasted a good few years and was nice a cheap to by (even cheaper with my pound coins discount!)

Did that go straight on the morgage? :D

I've found a £1 coin when I was in year 7, it got me a Fish burger and a can of coke. :D

And I was skating on the street when a guy sat on the wall dived into his taxi and left his cig and phone on the wall, took the phone to the police but I kept the cig. :D

Found a tenner a few years ago outside my house on top of a drain, just hanging down waiting for a gust a wind to blow it down into the sewer.

Luckily I saved its life and spent it on sweeties. :)
