3850 or 3870

You are worrying me. I have ordered my whole new system, with a HD3850 and a 22" screen.
Tell me i will be able to use HDR in most of the games.
I am upgrading from a x1600 mobile.
 
er yeah :) I had a x1950xt and that ran with hdr on just about ok, but could have been better (in STALKER). With the 3850, it will be at least 25% faster, and upto I would assume about 30-40% faster. You won't have any probs, the exception being Crysis of course! You can overclock anyway :p

BTW, I ordered the 3870 512mb xtreme silent :) Unfortunately I have to wait until Christmas until I can play with it lol. (love my wife though as she told me which one to get! lol)

Obviously or I wouldn't of got the "This week only" deals :p

When I looked there were no 3870's in, they all said pre order :confused: which according to my order confirmation email was 10:57 am

Can always flog it on after Xmas if I don't like it and try to grab a 3870 for the third time lol
 
Looking at the picture of the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3870 XT 512MB card, it looks to be 2 slots wide - is this the case for all of the 3850 and 3870 cards?

I only have room for a single slot card in my shuttle :(
