Hey some people dont use their cars sensibly. Does that mean we should ban those? Hey some people dont use spray paint sensibly, should we ban that too? How about computers? People use those to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars each year from people and to distribute child porn, and tell sell information about how to make bombs. Lets ban that too? I mean if we dont ban computers that must mean we support child pornography, right?

Are you really that closed minded?
Cars get millions of people to work every day. Without them countries would go back decades in effeciency.
Spray painting doesn't kill people.
Computers have been used for so many technological breakthroughs. Breakthroughs that have saved (and will save) countless lives.
Guns were made to kill people. Plain and simple.
Why, are we all supposed to conform to your idea of normality? Well screw that, that's too much like Communism for my liking. The fact is I like firearms and I like firing them and nobody is going to stop me from doing so!
You've danced around my point completely. Those are simply examples of things where the intended use is not being exercised - instead something criminal is.
Gun's are created for a purpose, and used for that purpose. They're used for a purpose which I've already highlighted and which I'm sure you, and everyone else here, knows. Unless you actually believed the Simpsons where Homer was using the gun to turn off lights/change the television channel.
As for my statement - I was making an assumpting based on your words. A fair assumption to be honest. And a hint for the future, making stupid remarks during a debate only makes you look stupid.
Then you can exercise no complaint when someone shoots you in the face because they felt like it. Simply because you were too concered with your enjoyment of guns to realise the danger of allowing them to be freely used.

The key word there is WERE, they were designed to kill people and animals but now are used a lot for entertainment. Not only that buy people still hunt with guns.
Guns are entertaining. I go to a gun club and shoot targets, its a skill. I compete with my friends to see who can shoot better. I talk to other people at the club.

LOL! Guns are created and used for a multitude of reasons. Millions of guns in the US and a very small percentage of them are used for killing other people. The other ones are used for hunting animals and shooting targets.
As for your statement, its was completly baseless and you know it. You completly disregarded my arguement and read what you wanted to read, that I dont care about life. Anyone with half a brain cell can see that.

Three reasons do not make a multitude of reasons. I'm pretty sure you kill when hunting, so you can take that down to just an additional reason. In said 'shooting targets' example, I can look at that with more logic, as it's a controlled environment. That still does not excuse the things that are done with guns.
I did not disregard your argument, as you'll find if you read back. You ask if we should get rid of cars because they can kill. You ask if you should get rid of computers because of the bad things done with them.
And I responded.
Trying to debunk the very essence of anything I say by claiming that I'm like your sister and simply allowing personal feelings to blindly influence decisions is also baseless. I do not think there is anything wrong with allowing personal feelings into a debate, after all, this is what we're dealing with. It's what we always deal with, personal views and perceptions. To try and delude ourselves by thinking that we're looking at this objectively is a folly.
Indeed, I cannot possibly know truthfully whether you care about life or not, and indeed it was perhaps a rash statement. However, from your words it would seem that you care more about the fun and enjoyment you have with firearms, and keeping that going. Than finding some other form of enjoyment and saving lives.
What's wrong with shooting targets with lasers or other non-lethal ways. I think those that shoot guns and own them legally want some kinda of control or superiority that they otherwise can't get. There is absoultely no reason to own a gun legally(maybe a couple of very small reasons), guns were designed to kill people and that way they will always be as long as they exist. What possible reason is there to own such a thing? You talk about them used for entertainment like it's a good thing, it's ironic that the western world says how it's so moral with the banning of gladitorial events due to barbarism yet we continue to let guns exist legally? America is full of mentality problems which it put on its self and guns just make it worse to the point where it ain't surprising anymore that such shootings take place making them almost acceptable
Guns have no place in society, even saying oh well some hunters who go to the woods to shoot deer would never go on a rampage, why not force people to be supervised to use guns, saying oh cars are lethal and knifes are lethal is pathetic.
They where created for means to help society, guns where produced back in the day to fight wars not civil territory, take away every gun a criminal and citizen has and you take away all the guns the police have and we still live in a society of crime from psycho to drug dealers and robbers.
Glad I live in a country that has the society safety in mind.

Your comparing the gladitorial events to shooting paper targets and clay pidgeons. Thats makes perfect sense, of course. The world is full of mentality problems. Everywhere you go your going to find people who do not fit into the social norms. The social norm in the US is not going out and shooting people, thats why it is illegal. Yes, there are people who do go out and shoot people but they are punished for their crimes in one form or another.
And shooting with lasers? Where is the fun in that. The reason shooting guns is fun is because of the noise, the recoil, the effect on the paper target. Yes, it is about control and power in a sense but its controlled power. People who go to gun clubs and hunting are not inclined to go to a school or mall and kill people. The two can not be equated or even compared.
