Is Ep3 in production?? [MIGHT BE SOME SPOILERS!]

i bet there will be another 'choice' you have to make, like in the first one. where you either choose to destroy the thing thats on the borealis ship, or use it against the combine.

What choice are you talking about in the first one? Either my memory is starting to go or I've missed something! :p

I agree about the portal gun, it just wouldnt fit somehow. Though a few static portals could be interesting. As for the AI from portal, I don't think you could fit one of them on a ship, if you remember the size of the room and surroundings.

PK!

Not really a choice per se.

At the end of HL1 G-man gives you a choice between going with him and, well, death ("a battle that even you cannot win" or somesuch). If you choose the latter G-man sends you to a place where you are surrounded by vortigaunts and quickly die.

Or in HL3 the combine will be Gordon's friends, aka the Vortigunts turning good after HL1, because we'll find out that they were being blackmailed by aliens, or some thing like that.

Whatever happens, I'm so hooked by G-man's relationship to Gordon. I wonder if he's his father, or if its Gordon from another dimension/time/reality.

No, and no (both were dismissed by valve shortly after the release of HL2).

G-man seems to be a powerful alien who can travel through time, possibly working as part of a 'resistance' to combine rule. The combine are clearly aware of G-man - think back to the scene at the end of HL2 where Breen says "having the two of you in my keeping means I can strike any deal that I choose to make with the combine". The two agents of G-man (Gordon and Ely) were as important to the combine as the entire planet earth.

In EP2 Eli Vance said something about a device that must never be used was on the Borealis. We know that Aperture Science and Black Mesa were competitors, and that both were researching portal technology. Aperture Science had the Portal Gun, while Black Mesa had actually managed to create portals to other worlds. What we don't know is when the events in Portal and Half-Life actually took place. We also know that the Combine use portals as a means to conquer worlds.

I don't think we'll see the Portal gun in Half-life, but I think it's a fair bet that the Borealis will have some sort of portal related device that will open Earth up to the Combine if used.
