Looking at this list I wonder if this guy has actually driven any of them!!

http://cars.uk.msn.com/News/Top_ten_article.aspx?cp-documentid=6928818

My favourite entry is the Nissan Skyline R34 GTR . His quote

But personal experience proves the danger comes when you discover all the electronic brain power in the world can't actually over-rule the laws of physics. And that skidding off into the barrier requires more than hitting 'restart' on your PlayStation control pad.

Well yes Dan, actually driving any car requres some skill on the behalf of the driver. What a rubbish article!
I had to share it with you all :D

Read that earlier, proper news stories obviously thin on the ground at the moment!

Glanced through it to see what the dangerous cars were...pretty silly article to be honest. With a driver that has the least bit of sense behind the wheel they are all decent and not dangerous.

I remember when Tiff Needel drove the Lotus Carlton on the track, all the time screaming in terror as it threatened to fly off the track and kill him

Actually I don't because he can drive and spent the whole video power sliding round corners with ease :)

He mustn't have seen a Riva or a Combi Van fold up then :p

Really strange Choices, Especially the Porsche.

Id rather crash one of those then a lot of the cars you can get one the market TBH.

I think it should read Top 10 Cars that will Rip you a new A hole if you don't make slow Passionate love to the Accelerator :p

Edit:

The problem with the V6 is that the engine and driven wheels are behind you. But, you cry, it's mid-engined and rear-wheel drive - surely the best set-up possible for a performance car? In theory yes, but as anyone who has driven an old 911 will tell you,

Damm Noob! 911s dont have Mid mounted engines!

Edit again:

If you want a detailed description of just how scary the Lotus Carlton could be you need to find the late Russell Bulgin's article about attempting to max one out on the German autobahn. His account of trying to tame the explosive power delivery of the 377bhp twin-turbo straight six in the torrential rain demonstrates just how lairy Vauxhall's mega saloon could be.

Who thought that was a good idea at the time must have a table reserved at the Darwin Awards :p

On Good ol Krusty with 96bhp and weighed more then a house the way you drove him was by Raping the Accelerator and Making love to the brake while feeling up the clutch on the side:p

Driving cars is like sex, if you hit all the right buttons you will have the time of your life! If you do it wrong to what they like you will be running off with you tail between your legs:p

A lot of them are spot on, the Tuscan, the F40, the GT2, I think they missed the Z3M off there though.

Hes Described how the cars could kill you. But i think he should have named the list something Other then the 10 most Dangerous cars.

The chavs are gonna think they are even more Invincible in there Corsas now!

I actually laughed out loud at that. :D

I just find pushing it as far as it goes gets good results, even if it does mean it's close to breaking something. :D

What exactly denotes that? I'm sure I've done some things like that in the car, but never actually know quite what liftoff overstear is.

InvG

Its normally when you take your foot off The Accelerator rapidly while going around a corner IIRC and it sends all the weight to the front of the car making the back end nice and light and unstable so you get lots of oversteer.
Its normally un xpected and can turn you around if you arnt careful

That list looks pretty good to me actually, given that most of the cars on it share a characteristic that has caused lots of people to crash them over the years. They all flatter the driver right up until the point they suddenly spit you out when you cross the limit with them. It was certainly a 205 GTi thing (and the 306 that followed it) to behave that way.

But then again, to realise this you have to actually drive the cars close to their limits and realise just how knife edge the difference can be. (Provoking lift off oversteer is not the same as having it jump you because you tried to adjust your line very slightly), which is why most people probably won't agree with the list :)
