Halo 3 came with my 360 so it's still sealed.
I have Halo 2 on the PC but didnt complete it, I dont like it that much but i'm not sure why, it just doesnt have the same quality Halo 1 had. Now do I unwrap Halo 3 & play it even though I will be missing some story or should I just not bother? Does it have the same shortfalls as Halo 2 or is it right up there with the first one? Do I just sell it now because I can sell it as new rather then 2nd hand?

What are the Pro's and Cons?

I'm probably in the minority but I didn't find it that good at all. I didn't feel engrossed in the storyline as it simply doesn't interest me and it just felt as if I was making my way through levels and killing things for nothing.

Its main saving grace is its multiplayer but once you've played CoD4 online it just doesn't compare, graphically and in terms of gameplay.

It's good, just overrated.

Worth a play definately, especially if you got it sitting there already. Its got its critics and now its been eclipsed by COD4 but I found it very enjoyable. Single player is fairly short but a lot of fun, multiplayer is where the game excels at but now as I say it seems to have been replaced by COD4.

I enjoyed the SP aspect of the game but I soon became bored of it online.
I'm not the 'hardcore - take it too seriously type of player' and those types soon made me tired of the game.

Unwrap it and play it, you'll get no more selling it wrapped than unwrapped.

That maybe true
I'm just used to playing CoD4, Unreal 3, Crysis etc on the pc & know Halo 3 online can never match up to them. I'm stuck in 2 minds... Will I have missed out on the story if I havent completed Halo 2?

Halo 2 has a cliffhanger ending which Halo 3 resumes from. You'll also be wondering why a Covenant named "The Arbiter" is on the human side..

If you didnt like the previous games, you wont like this one simple as. I would personally just trade it in for a game you know you will like. And no the campaign isnt anywhere near as good as Halo 1.

I still play it now and then even with Cod4.

Like getting into a 4 with some mates and playing 4v4 knowing you will all be on the same team and it will only be you 4. Plus i seem to better at it than COD4.

Single player is crap though. Feels like a chore to do for me.

I guess I just don't find the repetitive nature of MC's objectives very interesting.

To be fair, the Arbiters objectives are basically the exact same. But oh invisability, wait the Chief gets that too. Hmmm, i can't actually think of anything that the Arbiter does that the Chief can't do.

I take it you skip the cutscenes\story\etc and just blast away at Covenant\Flood?

Again tell me the objectives that the Arbiter does different than the Chief. The gameplay is the exact same for both of them. Get to a point by blasting through everything. I find it amusing that you think the Arbiters storyline is better. I know the Chief's is a cliche of everything, but the Arbiter's is so bland and boring, no wonder no-one played or plays as him on Live.
