After reading some rave comments here and a few good reviews, I bought the Razer Lachesis mouse.

A few minutes after installing I noticed the cursor would jump up the screen sometimes.
I tweaked many different settings, tried both sides of my exactmat, same result.

Googling it appears to be a common fault and it's in need of driver/firmware updates.

Can't see any mention of this here in other posts, so are all you other users problem free?

have you tried it without installing any software to do with the mouse, i personally destroy the mouse software disks because they have caused insane problems

This always happens with Razor products, I believe it was the Copperhead that had a woeful amount of problems when it was first launched.

I personally believe the quality of Razor products comes no where near that of Logitech, not sure what Razors product support is like but it would be hard for them to match that of Logitech's.

Had mine for month now and had zero problems with it. Maybe its the surface you are using it on?

Still same with no drivers. I'm using a Razer exactmat so should work fine!
What mat do you use AtreuS and what settings?

Not got a hair on the bottom of your mouse have you?

I have fallen foul of that one a couple of times. :(

No it's a common fault going by comments on the forum here... http://razerblueprints.net/

Just had a go on Crysis and it seemed fine though.

*UPDATE, since trying it in a game it now seems ok on the desktop... touch wood.

I've just ordered a Steelpad 5L which will hopefully be better with this mouse.

i had a slightly different problem to yours.
i switched my computer on just now and the cursor wouldn't move left and right unless i moved the mouse really fast. which was fun. turns out that just reinstalling the drivers fixed it. not entirely sure why it would mess itself up overnight like that, with any luck razer will get on top of updating the firmware/drivers soon.

have you read some of the posts on razerblueprints? seems like it's a problem razer are aware of but need feedback from users using the lachesis. hopefully i won't end up one of those posting a reply ;)
