I'm sure the appropriate steps have been taken to ensure a standard of quality enough for repetative hitting.

Theres been many reports of both the bass peddle on the drums and the guitars themselves failing already in the US, EA have a replacement scheme running atm to deal with it all but there are quite a few horror stories as regards to thier customer support. Time will tell over here i guess.

I heard there were 3 different revisions, 1 which was dodgy and often broken in the box, or had sensors detatched. The 2nd was fine build wise, but the sensors could be off. The 3rd and one shipping now is reliable.

I only heard this from some reply on YouTube though, so it's not exactly 100%, but would go some way as an explanation.
