Hi,

I have been looking for some good Crysis configs for a while, and I finally found one worth using( thanks Taowolf51 for making this config)

Basically, you play with your own settings, but they will run better and the graphics will look nicer. I recommended this crysis config to my mates, and they all love it.

How to instal:

1) Go to your Crysis game folder -> Electronic Arts -> Crytek -> Crysis.
2) Drag and drop the autoexec.cfg from the downloaded archive into your base Crysis folder. (not in the GAME or CONFIG folder)

ps: if you think the HDR is too excessive, try "r_HDRlevel=0.8" or perhaps "r_HDRlevel=0.7"
pps: Do not expect a huge performance boost, I got 1/3 fps extra, but it is mainly the way it makes the game look like it should.

hmm. if we are talking about accuracy, the hard is a little too much. that sunlight is also far too yellow. if it was more neutral then i bet you'd get to where it should be.

it looks too much like a game in the original shots...if we are talking about accuracy. but what i actually prefer? neither lol.

those screens were taken on custom maps, hence the hdr. I coudlnt find a good map for screens.

I tried this and it dropped over 10fps for me, the trees etc... looked great, but the HDR was way to bright.

Are you on vista? So far all XP users benefit from better fps. The config is designed so your fps shouldn't go down, so its weird you get such an fps drop.

Also, if you think the HDR is too excessive, change it like I did.

I changed the screens, so that they reflect what this config does. Fraps sucks for Crysis screens.

ill share my one with you lot tomorow. taken me hours to get it just perfect in all areas of the game. it doesnt concentrate on super performance though (still better than original though) but its by far the best one ive made. down to preference i suppose, but you should all like it

ive been looking for a brilliant config for ages, one that shows all the lighting, high textures, you know, the good stuff, but doesnt kill fps lol

anyone got any suggestions?

EDIT: played through with this config. 2xaa... was some increase in performance, and i turned hdr down to 0.7.. still very orange... doesnt look right. but still worth a shot, nice config overall

if your referin 2 the sunset screenshot, id say that looks about right. considering that goes yellow/orange

yeah the sun does indeed look like that at sunset, atmosphere causes it to appear orange, hence why you get the 'red' sunsets, i must admit that looks like an improvement, this works in the campaign and stuff right?
