Hi guys i have bought a BFG GeForce 8800 Ultra OC 768MB , yes i know i should have waited, but while the wife wanted to spend the money hey ho, anyhow, im pretty certian the card i have resieved is not the oc version. althogh the box has a oc sticker on it. ive used a program called GPU-Z and it is clearly showing my core/mem ect to be a standard one, ie my core is 612 as apossed to the 630 and the mem is 1080 as aposed to the 2220, is there a definate program i can use to confirm this ect pls.
many thanks

Well GPU-Z identifies my Zotac pre-overclocked settings correctly. You could also confirm the settings using Rivatuner.

Well after running the program you sugested its still showing the same thing as GPU-z so i ssuspect this card is infact the stadard one not the one i ordered,
hmmmmz.....................

EDIT: Have sent a webnote to oc, since i cannot telephone them, they are shut when i finish work.

EDIT 2 : just an idea though, it woudnt be my motherboard bios or drivers im currently using, ect

Wouldn't have thought so. Download Nibitor 3.5b, go to "tools > read bios > read into nibitor", should confirm the settings. Warning, this is software to change bios settings so be careful!

Use at your own risk :p

Isnt the Overclocked version of BFG cards the OC2? and OC is just standard? Looks that way if u look through the Nvidia Range

Good point, according to OCUK, the BFG 8800GTX Ultrs clocks are 600/1400/1800 (core/shader/memory). Bear in mind that GPU-Z and similar show half the memory rate as its double data rate, so it would read 600/1400/900.

so where on earth did you get that from ??

may i ask whether you are running it in 3d mode when you check the speeds?

run a game and leave riva tuner running etc and see if it goes up?

makes no diff whatsoever, this card i have is clearly not the oc version as advertised .i have run several tests at diff times.
i will be contacting tech support in morning to see how they are going to remondey this.

No, BFG don't do standard clocked cards, the OC is clocked a smidge higher than the standard clocked ones, and the OC2 is clocked a smidge higher than that. :)

Besides bfg only does one ultamte oc the one i was supposed to of resieved, yes i know its not the shops fault nor will i blame them, as the box clearly states oc, well has a sticker on it. how could they tell, jsut from my point of view ie the customer its damned anoying.

and to clear it up 8800 GTX OC2 768MB PCIe.8800 GTX OC 768MB PCIe
those are the only gtx oc and oc2 cards in the gtx range mine is a ultamate or is it ???.

rite i gave in testing and searching, inet, i have looked on abit forums for the motherboars, power supply parts to no avail, i have seen similar probs with gt cards ect, but this is strange as mentioned bfg does not do standard 8800ultamte cards, anyhow i rang up tech support spoke to a nice guy ran through a few things, , the only thing i cannot do is test it in another machine, i cant see any probs with this card anywhere else to do with iether ram/mobo/psu ect. anyhow they are going to replace it it goes off later on, ah well back to my 7900gs (512 ) until i get a new one.

That seems odd, because my BFG 8800GTX OC2 clocks are: 626/1450/1000 (core/shader/memory) which is more than the Ultra?
