BF2 & Vista

Hi all ive tryed to get BF2 to run in vista but it just wont do it
ive installed patch 1.4 which again vista dont like any ideas any patchs?

Try running in compatibility mode and or as an admin, works fine for me in vista x64, although it was unstable until i installed some windows hot fix.

1.41 is the latest

i need to run it in admin mode on vista 64, and i had to update a lot of punkbuster stuff as well

am running as a admin and on vista 32

any one know where the hotfixes are and pb updates ?

no you need to right click and select "run as administrator"

it runs it as the administrator account rather than your own.

So what is actually happening? nothing at all or is there some kind of error message involved?
I think the hotfix was specifically for my 8800 and it came from the nvidia site it believe its quite recent, i couldn't tell you which one it is for love nor money.

Standard all drives etc up to date etc?

Reinstall, pretty much all i can think of right now, BF2 is a pain at the best of times.

no need to re-install latest nvidia drivers fix the problem

it loads up the starting screen then goes black stays there for a little while then goes back to windows ill try gfx drivers

o dam yes my bad

its cos my old 512mb blow a few months back and thats what i used in pasted

i totaly forgot it only likes a few cards

I run it on Vista 64 with a 8800GTX, I think the only thing I had to do was run it as administrator to get punk buster working, it kept kicking me out of games after a few secs.
