Who out there is still a Airsoft fan (pic inside)

Not an air soft, but as close as I have!

Only airsoft I remember is when I was about 10, me and my mate got the cheapest pistols money could buy and then shot each until they broke.

My other mate used to be into it a lot got shedloads of gear (think he spent more on cloth than the guns tbh) but don't think he plays anymore.

Looks like a Lee Enfield, could do with a bit of love me thinks. Is that thing serviceable?

Yeah, Lee Enfield. It's a deac so no it isn't serviceable but it has full moving parts :p

I agree it does need some loving, it's been up on my wall the past 2 years now and hasn't moved really. Will have to get my bum in gear!

got a 480fps 177 co2 air pistol, fires metal bbs, i accident shot my garage door window, went straight through it :p

But the other day, i put a gas thing in, but it had been on the radiator for a while, and as soon as i locked it into place it exploded :p

We've got 3 Pistols, 2 MG's and two rifles. Got no pics though....

Re the tight laws:
This summer 3 of us were airsofting in my friends street/garden, and I was at the front of the house while the other 2 were at the back reloading. Over comes their neighbour (you can guess what I'm thinking as neighbours about 50) but then I see he's holding a gun! "Where's John" (friend who lives there), I tell him that he's round the back.....
"BANG, AAAAAAAAAHHHHH" as neighbour shot John.
He then came back round the front and showed me his gun, it's a proper blank firing pistol - but that was a good laugh, especially as its a little cul-de-sac with about 15 houses & I genuinely thought the neighbor was about to have a go @ us, and proved that not all neighbours are PC tree hugging hippies!

Thats not airsofting, thats being an utter tool! Play on a proper site away from the public view, dont run around your street firing replica guns at each other!

On another note, I still airsoft. Not got pictures of my guns since they are still in the boot of my car from last weekend. I have an ICS MP5A5, P226 and a USP. I've owned loads of different guns but the MP5 is so good I sold everything else.

If anyone is really serious about airsofting, every summer there is a 24 hour long, 300 odd person game run on the MOD site below. Best fun you could have without babyoil and Gemma Akinson:

Yea I know, we've also got a farmers permission to use his fields/woods (inc streams/rivers etc) but couldn't be bothered that day!

What on Earth made you get an L86? Wouldn't you rather have an M249?
While in real life the LSW is hampered by a low magazine capacity, in the airsoft world this obviously isn't a problem due to high capa mags. Thus with the L86 you gain increased accuracy due to the longer barrel, while avoiding the extra weight incurred with the M249.

The above (re: airsoft anyway) is all conjecture :D

edit: Just looked, on Wolf Armouries the L86 is 2kg lighter than the M249 (5.6kg vs 7.6kg)
