can i warm up the cooked sausages in microwave?

How am I frightening him? I'm saying he should go and learn how to cook. Asking if he can microwave a sausages isn't really learning anything.

I never said you are, its just you said it was scary that people are asking for help on basic things, then basically just said they should ask for help.

And yeah it is learning something, it telling him that's its safe to reheat meat in a microwave

if your reheating chicken, remember to heat it thoroughly, or you may end up with the squits. which is a bad thing!

hmm, been a bit constipated the last few days (wifes cooking no doubt) I think there is some chicken in the fridge so I might try this.

Chicken you need to make sure it hot all the way through or you could end up with more than being on the toilet a while, food poisoning can happen and you're only supposed to heat up chicken twice. Once when first cooked from fresh and then to be re-heated, not again though.

what I meant is he needs to do some proper learning. Yes he could ask 100 questions on here. But it would be better if he learnt in a more structured way. By following a good cook book. Most will have tips and snippets in. Which are great for learning. People don't need to cook great but being able to cook basic stuff and knowing what can and can't be done. Should be an essential life skill.

2 pages of posts for safe heating of sausages - i'm amazed! gobsmacked will be tuning in ext week for the sandwich tutorial. :D

Right.

Put them in for 5 minutes.

5 mins it will be rubbery, too hot and just plain destroyed. as above 30 secs max without burning your mouth.

Remember to put your cutlery in there too, just incase it's all cold from being left in the draw. Nothing worse then a cold fork.

Put a match in there too. If you can start the microwave while it's already lit, you will get a lovely minor fireworks show to accompany the microwaving session.

Common sense? have you reheated any meat before?
Sausages aren't really meat, though.

The answer to the original question is, of course, yes. You can warm up anything containing water in a microwave.

Whether or not it's safe to eat them depends on how long ago they were cooked and the conditions they've been kept in since and how lucky you are.

I wouldn't do it myself, but I wouldn't be eating sausages in the first place.

Asking if he can microwave a sausages isn't really learning anything.

Surely, if he didn't know the answer to that question, he'd ask (this thread), then learn. Thus, he's taking your advice perfectly and, I'd say, he's learning from a very good point of view: - health.

He may be a bit of a weirdo for not knowing this already, but I remember a lot of my friends had very protective parents when growing up, and some weren't even allowed in the kitchen to learn anything.
