Why? I suppose I understand even things like Lizards and Snakes being kept as pets and totally see the point of keeping dogs..but American Cockroaches?

I remember when I was living in China, I woke up one morning and I was just lying in bed looking around the room - getting used to the light - when I spotted a gigantic cockroach right next to my shoe on the floor.

I immediately woke up and inspected it. It was absolutely huge, nearly the same size as my shoe, and I needed to kill it. So I picked up another shoe and smashed it's ugly face into gunge.

*shiver* It was absolutely disgusting. Yuck.
