Ordered a BFG one.
Will be keeping for at least 6 months as I can't be bothered spending hundreds on computer parts over and over again like I have been doing. I don't even play Crysis, newest game I play is TF2 so I don't even know why I just spent £270 on one, idiot.

Well I went for one... I am now going to put my fingers in my ears and ...wait a minute the forum is based on text... fingers now inserted in eyes... mmm there is a draw back to that as well.... what I am trying to say is that I am just going to enjoy it and I don't care what you guys say because I am allways right.

I ordered a BFG 8800GT OC last night then about 30 minutes later starting worrying that I'd made a mistake.

Those worries are now at rest.

The only problem with the GT is the stock cooler which is a useless peice of rubbish. The only thing other than letting it down is early drivers which we can only wait for from nvidia or other coders & the GTS won't have better seeing as it's based on the same chip.

I stopped complaining and bought a PnY for £230ish delivered

After all - I did get £130 for my 2nds hand 320MB GTS...

stock cooler isnt rubish, i have superclocked evga GT, and playing crysis on all full at 60% fan gets to a maximum of 81c since as though it can handle up to 100c and a extra 40% fan to go its all good.

and yeh im another whos happy with my GT after seeing these prices, and i thought the new GTS would have been just as thin as the GT, even more happy

Do you think lots of people will be downloading the previous g80 8800gts drivers for the new g92 8800gts card seeing as nvidia hasn't got them on their site yet?

Use the 169.17 or the latest drivers for the 8800GT.

Yeah still, how long will the card live for at 100C? at 100% the cooler is louder than a jet engine

I have the beta 169.12 vista drivers for 8800gt for my sli 8800gt's, seems to work fine.

not if you have a decent case, can hardly here mine at 100% in my p182

and as i said its at 81c at 60% perfectly fine

81 degrees fluffing hell... i wouldnt be happy at that! i like my low temps of 42 full load during crysis.

Ona different note anyone forgot to plug in the6 pin molex connector? I did last night and the 8800 gt gave out a deathly squeal.... like a PSU thats going to pop... **** myslef I tell thee.
