Just come back from seeing Thin Lizzy, well what's left of them. And even what is left didn't hold up too well, they played for an hour or so then had to go as one of the guys wasn't very well. The chap sat boys are back in town out then came on for their short lived encore.

I know its not their fault and not moaning, it was a good enough gig but the guy really didn't look well :(

And from the videos I've seen Led Zep totally blew the plastic from the dome, with a full 2-hour concert. Hopefully they'll go on tour.

All I can say is Led zepplin need a few quid, As for lizzy well they were great and still are ok but without phil it just doesnt seem the same, Scott has ditched the les paul for a strat, he dont look to bad for his age and its nice to see him playing again, Jimmy Page looks odd with his white hair, I never really thought much of Led zepplin, Stairways solo was good in the 70,s many better guitarists since, Thin lizzy was a miles better band in my opinion. But I dont think I would go to see them. One band which still deliver is Pink Floyd even though they are getting on a bit.

If you want to go and see Thin Lizzy then checkout Limehouse Lizzy - its about as close as you'll get.
They've even got a half caste bass player/singer.
Problem is tickets cost about £8 and the last time I saw the real Thin Lizzy with Phil Lynott they cost £2.

??

Led Zeppelin definitely don't need any more money, and I'd rather listen to a solo that has soul and emotion than some 100-note-per-second shredfest. Page is easily in the top 3 guitarists of all time, both in terms of creativity and musicianship, infact I'd say he's up there with Hendrix. Led Zep definitely delivered on the 10th, sure they aren't as "tight but loose" as they were during '68-'70, but they still know how to rock. :)

Been meaning to check out Limehouse Lizzy and will do the next time they're around, the clips I've heard sound brilliant. :)

They did have a local Stoke lad playing for them.
He plays left handed on a right handed guitar that he just turns over (in other words the thin string is at the top).
