why didn't they defect? Surely he could only pospone for so long? And if he was going to do that why would he extend the deadline by only a month and a half? What a bunch of tools.
 
OMG this is terrible but i cant stop watching. How mesmerised the women looked when it panned to them, freaky man truly freaky.
Like something you'd see in some horror film hick town, and also why are all of them bog-eyed near enough.

But I do feel sorry for the young girls etc, some of them were in dire need of a shave.
 
Really wierd bunch, i felt kind of sorry for his son when they were talking about how his dad slept with his wife, he didn't look like he was ok with it, also at the end when he said he was dissapointed with the events of 31st.

Few things here and there that made me think that he knows deep down that something isn't right but is very dedicated to his father, for right or wrong reasons.

The kids and women however were totally brainwashed, but the son i think just was scared of the outside world and was trying to convince himself that it was all ok.
 
I didn't watch it but was the programme about those nutjobs that thought the world was going to end this year?

As it obviuosly hasn't what was their explanation (apart from being mentalists :D )
 
I felt sorry for his Son too by the end of it he just looked like a broken man, not surprising when his Dad was 'told' by God to have sex with his wife. When the guy asked him why he did it more than once, just the way he looked at the camera afterwards it was like.. 'well if you could get women to have sex with you wouldn't you?' Dirty pervy old man tbh, taking advantage of insecure people. He's obviously broken them down so much that they are completely reliant on him so even when his 'prophecies' turn out to be completely un-true they still stand by him.
 
It was unbelievable that some of the parents were defecting from the cult and whilst leaving the children chose to stay behind ? or even leave only to return a few months later because living in the real world was in their words .......... Hell !

"Father" really had a hold over those Teenagers, very scarey to see kids giving up their parents to stay/return to that place.

Good Documentary though, I was just wishing he had interviewed the Sheriff and a few more Parents to properly dish the Dirt.
